Edmonton welcomes the world in 2014
All eyes will be on Edmonton, Canada, in 2014 as the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final returns to Alberta’s Capital City.
As a proven host of many major international sports events, Edmonton last hosted the World Championships in 2001, which left a lasting legacy for the sport of triathlon in Edmonton. From August 26 - September 1, 2014, the world returns to Edmonton to race in scenic Hawrelak Park and though Edmonton’s expansive river valley.
In addition to the elite and paratriathlon races, the 2014 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final will showcase standard- and sprint-distance age group races, as well as an aquathlon, U23, junior and mixed relay world championships offering athletes the chance to compete in the same venue as the world’s elite athletes.
